Well..

The meeting was canceled. It turned out that most of members couldn't attend the meeting due to their works.

Only four members came to the meeting. TM Made, TM Eha, TM Saut, and I (TM Joko) were the attenders.

Eventhough we didn't have meeting, we didn't want to waste the time. So we decided to practice our speech since TM Made and TM Eha have already prepared theirs. And it was fun !

And of course we will never forget TM Dewi's contribution on making our club growing. We all missed you...

It was a farewell party for our beloved member, TM Dewi Eka Wulan. She will pursue her Master Degree in Japan shortly this month.

Attendees  : 8 KTC Members Theme       : The Gem can not be perfected without friction, nor man without trials WOD         : Trial (n)        The meeting started on time. Yes! Some role takers could not come to the meeting so other Toastmasters Members took over the role. This meeting should have been a farewell & congratulation party for our president, TM Faisal, since he was promoted as Head Section at KPP Kendari. Unfortunately, The President could not make it, since he had to arrive there on Tuesday for the inauguration that will start on the next morning. Pretty sad, cause we didn’t have the chance to say bye and congrats him.   Our TOM was TM Hadi Teguh Wardoyo. There were two speakers. The 1st speaker is TM Riana Arum who was presenting her BM #3 titled “Experience is the best teacher”. She told us how her first experience as an Auditor had thought her a lot of things. Especially in visiting Bali. The 2nd prepared speaker was TM Riska. She also delivered BM#3 project, the title was “The Deepest Well”. It was interesting because she had this beautiful metaphor involving donkey in her speech. It was an inspiring speech that thought us how to strive from our problems. How to get out from our deepest well.   The Table Topic Session was very creative. It was led by TM Joko. It was a game like “kuis piramida”. There were 2 teams with two members (team 1 = TM Atiek & TM Aru; Team 2 = TM Dewi & TM Reni). One team member must guess the word/category from the examples/description given by the other team member. For example, ROSE. TM Dewi said Red Flower. Then TM Reni had to guess what it is. It was Fun, because you do know it was hard to suddenly find the right word that we wanted to say.   In Evaluation Session, we had ACB CL Elly Juniarti as the GE. She also evaluated TM Arum while TM Dewi evaluated TM Riska. The GE supporting team are – Grammarian (TM Atiek), Timer (TM Joko), Ballot Counter (TM Reni) and Ah/WoD Counter (TM Reni). They all did a great job.   Hall of Fame Best Prepared Speaker – TM Riska Best Table Topics Speaker – TM Arum & TM Atiek Best Evaluator – ACB CL Elly Juniarti Congratulation!   Today we had no guests. But the meeting ran smoothly.   The meeting closed by TM Atiek, our SAA, at 13.00.   After the meeting closed we appointed TM Teguh Hadi Wardoyo as our President. And he agreed. Congrats on your new title. While eating our lunch, we had phone calls from our former President, TM Faisal. How very considerate of him. We use that chance to say ‘bon voyage’ to him. Attendees  : 12 KTC Members & 3 Honorable guests from Metropolitan Theme       : Crossroads in life: Goodbyes WOD         : Farewell (adj/n/int)    The meeting started 10 minutes late. All the role takers came in time (not on time). Since we had our Area Governor with us, we honorably asked him to take role as GE.   There were two prepared speakers. The first speaker was ACB CL Elly Juniarti. She was doing her Special Occasions Speeches Manual #4 project entitled “My Fabolous Mentor”. According to the manual, she supposed to present an award and give speech before it. She gave a golden crown to award CC CL Dendi as a Fabolous Mentor for Kalibata Toastmasters Club. Dendi will be leaving for his study in Japan, and this is our last meeting with him.  The next speaker was ACB CL Patar Simatupang. He is our club’s sponsor. He delivered the project #4 from Entertaining Speaker Manual titled “Are You Happy?” And yes, we were laughing. He said that he had to be happy because he’s too old to be unhappy. Ha…ha…ha   Before the table topics began our TOM ACB CL Elly Juniarti asked 2 people from the audience (the one who got little pink card under their chair) to come forward. It was me and TM Atiek. She told us to translate her speaking. She was speaking in Indonesia about a child’s missing. It was hard. But we knew by keep on coming to the meeting we will be able to conquer all.   The Table Topic Session was led by TM Reni. The audience chose 3 most useful things to accompany them who stranded to a desert Island while only wear swimsuit and sandals. Afterwards, we gave our chosen items (written on a piece of paper) to the person on our left.  Then TM Reni calls Carlo Carmen, Malayati Hasan, CC CL Dendi Amrin, and TM Joko to speak in front whether he or she agree or disagree with his/her friend’s choices. It was great and funny too because there was some members who chose a camera as one of the most wanted items.   After the table topic, we presented a delicious cake to be cut out by Dendi. (Sorry Dendi you couldn’t have it all, because the strawberry cheese cake was sooo delicious).   In Evaluation Session, we had Carlo Carmen as the GE. The speech evaluators were CC CL Dendi Amrin who evaluated Patar, and TM Faisal who evaluated ACB CL Elly Juniarti. The GE supporting teams were – Grammarian (TM Joko), Timer (TM Saut), Ballot Counter (TM Arum) and Ah/WoD Counter (TM Atiek).   Hall of Fame Best Prepared Speaker – ACB CL Elly Juniarti Best Table Topics Speaker – CC CL Dendi Amrin Best Evaluator – Carlo Carmen Congratulation!   We had 3 visiting Honorable Toastmasters, Carlo Carmen (Our Area Governor), Patar Simatupang (Our Sponsor), and Malayati Hasan (Our sponsor). Hopefully, they enjoyed the meeting.   The meeting closed early by our President at 13.30 after asked each member’s to give one sentence comment for Dendi.  Bon Voyage Dendi. Attendees  : 9 KTC Members & 1 guest Theme       : Aiming For The Stars WOD         : Ideal (n) Ideal (adj)   The meeting started late. Maybe we should change the agenda. All the role takers came in time except for Ballot Counter (TM Yoyok) who then replaced by TM Atiek. We had our President (TM Faisal) in the meeting, and it was great since it meant that our President’s son finally recovered. Unfortunately, the Excos meeting (already planned a week ahead) with The Area Governor (Carlo Carmen) was cancelled since the Area Governor couldn’t make it.   There were two prepared speakers available. The first speaker was TM Reni. She was doing her BM#2 project entitled “How Do You Love Your Baby”. It’s a motivating speech on how important breastfeeding was. The 2nd speaker was ACB CL Elly Juniarti. She was doing her Special Occasions Speeches Manual titled "A Great Pretender". We knew there was this cocky handsome yet muscular man name Jose who finally realized that ACB CL Elly Juniarti was a great pretender.   The Table Topic Session was replaced by game. It was led by TM Riska. It was a crosswords game. She divided the audience into 2 groups, with one speaker from each group giving clues for the word. Both groups managed to finish the puzzle in the same time. It was totally FUN and everone was Excited.   In Evaluation Session, we had TM Dewi as the GE. She also evaluated TM Reni, while TM Faisal evaluated ACB CL Elly Juniarti. The GE supporting team are – Grammarian (TM Arum), Timer (TM Didi), Ballot Counter (TM Atiek) and Ah/WoD Counter (TM Made).   Hall of Fame Best Prepared Speaker – ACB CL Elly Juniarti Best Table Topics Speaker – None Best Evaluator – TM Faisal Congratulation!   Today we have 1 gorgeous guest, Mr. Djumhari from KPP Kramat Jati. He came early and we had a great conversation with him. WOD         : Extraordinary (adj) Extraordinarily (adv) Extraordinariness (n)   The meeting started late. Come on guys, we have to fix this. All the role takers came just in time except for Timer (TM Reni) who then replaced by TM Yoyok. The President could not make it, since his son was hospitalized. The great thing was we had DTM Mien Soenari as our TOM. She came to fulfill her promise to our President, TM Faisal.   Unfortunately, since there was only one evaluator available, we only had 1 prepared speaker. Me, TM Dewi. I was doing BM#5 project, the title was Public Speaking and Practice. We learned that to stand out, even great public speaker needs practice. Simply because Practice makes Perfect.   The Table Topic Session was creative. It was led by TM Arum. The theme was press conference. She also added words guessing game. There were 3 members who should give their comment on the decease of our 2nd President, HM Soeharto. TM Riska spoke as Mayangsari, TM Made spoke as Tommy Soeharto, and TM Reni spoke as Megawati. In word guessing game, we had TM Joko who got Football in Heaven, TM Saut with X-Men, and TM Yoyok with Humble.   In Evaluation Session, we had ACB CL Elly Juniarti as the GE. She also evaluated TM Dewi. The GE supporting team are – Grammarian (TM Joko), Timer (TM Yoyok), Ballot Counter (TM Saut) and Ah/WoD Counter (TM Made).   Hall of Fame Best Prepared Speaker – None Best Table Topics Speaker – TM Reni & TM Joko Best Evaluator – None Congratulation!   Today we had 2 guests, DTM Mien Soenari from The Catalyst Toastmasters Club at KP DJP and Ms. Novi from KPP Badora 2. Hopefully, they enjoyed the meeting and grasped valuable information from it.   The meeting closed early by TM Made, our Vice President of Membership, at 13.00.
